ASQC Reliability Division

Reliability Division Information
One of the most common and perplexing problems facing any reliability engineer is how to get the most from information sources to stay current. The Reliability Division of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) is the solution to this most common problem. A low-cost membership in RD is the key for such success. Just consider all the things that the $8 (in addition to a basic ASQC membership) will bring you. It is like getting a library card. A whole new world suddenly opens itself before you and your new journey begins. A short list of RD advantages includes the following:

  1. Find that right book that explains critical reliability topics. You get automatic notices of new book publications and reviews of existing books.
  2. Get the quarterly Reliability Review to stay current on timely topics by up to date authors spanning military, biomedical, automotive and applicance applications.
  3. Enjoy new book reviews as published in Reliability Review. These occur automatically. These help you pick the best books for your library.
  4. Discover new reliability software and the many sources available to you. Most sources regularly advertise in Reliability Review.
  5. Easily find sources of help for that perplexing reliability or technical problem.
  6. Learn about the many sources of reliability training available. These come automatically to you with the membership in RD. Course schedules and information for Basic Reliability, FMEAs, Process Validation and Weibull Analysis will all come to you with your RD membership.
  7. Upgrade your skills by taking a reliability certification exam (CRE). Times, conditions and sources of help come through the RD.
  8. Learn about the availability of seminars, conferences and special events that relate to your professional development. All this information comes to you automatically. Think of what you have been missing so far.
  9. network with other reliability professionals and find help and advice to common problems and challenges. This includes technical problems, new standards and easy solutions to common challenges.
  10. Keep current with your engineering PE by attending Reliability Division sponsored functions. Most events meet all the requirements for PE continued Engineering Education requirements. (Note: More than 6 states now require this of PEs.)
  11. Enjoy being part of the professional reliability community and receiving notices and information on all events and new occurrences within international standards.
  12. Learn about recent developments in safety and liability. This could save your company millions of dollars and avoid major problems.
