- E - ========================================================================= Date: Sun, 11 Jun 95 21:37:09 PDT From: Carol Emmett Just found this list! I've been an OD/ training consultant for over 15 years and our firm does a variety of work -- from customer service training to diversity audits and 360s. Training in management development, team communication, and teambuilding in high performance organizations are our current hot topics. We'll keep at it until it is no longer fun! ------------------------------------- Carol Emmett Communication Applications, Inc. cemmett@pop3.interramp.com ========================================================================= Date: Wed, 15 Mar 1995 20:19:01 -0500 From: MrChange@aol.com Subject: S. After a year and a half I realized the importance of education, so I went back full-time for a M.S. in Accounting while continuing part-time at the same position. It has been an enriching and challenging experience cross-referencing the knowledge from the classroom to that gained in a fast changing business environment. (The stuff in the books is somewhat ideological at times, after all who records capital assets under $500,000 anyways?) In August of this year (after graduation) I will begin working at Ernst & Young in the Process Improvement division. Apparently, there are a number of small manufacturing concerns that are interested in setting up Activity Based Costing (ABC) to provide management with better cost information. From the ensuing discussion, I am interested in learning more about people's experiences with implementing ABC systems and methods for determining management's motivation quickly (the posting this morning gave some good suggestions of questions to ask). The discussion that has taken place so far is encouraging as is the diverse participation that I have seen during the short life of the List. I hope also to share my experiences, observations, and quandaries with the rest of the group. ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?
