INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY FOR QUALITY ASSURANCE ------------------------------------------- Purpose ------- The purpose of the international Society of Quality Assurance is to provide an environment for the continued development of Quality Assurance Professionals worldwide, and to improve and advance the Quality Assurance Profession. The activities of the Society in promotion include but are not limited to, the following: * Develop and provide a forum for a worldwide network of professionals trained in, interested in and involved in Quality Assurance; * Foster international discussion and recommendations whenever Quality Assurance programs can enhance the accuracy and integrity of information developed in all fields of scientific and technical endeavor; * Promote the development, mutual recognition, and implementation of professional qualifications for the Quality Assurance Professional through training and educational programs that will enhance the status of this professional discipline; * Provide and promote professional development educational programs for Quality Assurance Professionals, utilizing expertise and experience from throughout the international community; * Establish and enhance regular communication vehicles, such as newsletters and professional publications, in which current trends in Quality Assurance issues are emphasized, and to provide for worldwide distribution of this literature; * Organize and conduct international plenary meetings every (3)three years and, as needed, periodic specialized symposia or workshops for Members of the Society to gather and share their expertise and experiences; and * Provide a forum to review and comment on national and international Quality Assurance guidance documents For more information, contact: ISQA Executive Secretary 2200 Gateway Centre Boulevard, Suite 211 Morrisville, North Carolina 27560-9122 USA tel.
