UKAS is the UK’s sole Accreditation Body. Established 25 years ago, it is recognised by government to assess organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services against internationally agreed standards. Accreditation is a means of assessing, in the public interest, the technical competence and integrity of the organisations offering these kinds of evaluation services across the economic spectrum.

UKAS plays an important role in the UK’s quality infrastructure by providing the accreditation services needed by consumers, businesses and government.
