Ready to rock on World Quality Day 2017

Companies around the world celebrate World Quality Day (WQD) on 9 November. Here’s how some quality professionals and their companies will mark the day…

Marcin Czajkowski, PCQI, supplier quality engineer, Siemens Industrial Turbine Company (UK):

“As part of the 2017 WQD celebrations, Siemens is running an employee engagement workshop at the Warwick site. On the day, engineering, sales, finance, supply chain and project management teams supporting the aftermarket business for aeroderivative gas turbines will participate in a cross-departmental event to develop new ways of improving customer satisfaction and share already known best-practice. The output will be used to support ongoing operational excellence programmes across the site.”

Mark Eydman, CQP MCQI, managing director for Six Pillars Consulting Limited:

“The CQI Leicester and Coventry branch is excited to invite you to the first digital branch celebration of the World Quality Day 2017! On 9 November via LinkedIn, we will be posting a series of videos prepared by the Branch Committee members. This year’s theme will focus on the seven quality principles as described by the ISO 9001:2015. Throughout the series, we will share with you our views, advice and real-life examples. We are looking forward to finding out your thoughts, comments and experience during this truly digital event.”

Lisa Taylor, CQP MCQI, accreditation and quality manager for the Assurance and Quality Team, Corporate Affairs, Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl):

“World Quality Day is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of Dstl and recognise those that demonstrate leadership to sustain and improve performance every day of the year. This year, Dstl celebrates World Quality Day by using technology to enable the whole organisation to listen as colleagues from across the business summarise in 60 seconds how ‘quality’ underpins everything Dstl does. This is in addition to an update on technical quality and the announcement of the winners of Dstl’s first Quality Awards.”
