Meet the winner: Ministry of Defence, Defence Equipment and Support Team

DE&S are the procurement arm of the Ministry of Defence. From clothes to carriers, food to fighter jets, DE&S ensure the UK military customers – the Royal Navy, the British Army and the Royal Air Force – have the equipment and support they need to carry out their duties effectively.
The MOD Technical Assurance Team, who created a management system in a matter of weeks and who, through their rigour, skill, and determination, saved the UK over £2 billion by reducing the rejection rate of PPE to less than 0.13%. This team is a perfect demonstration that quality is delivered through people.
