UK Partners
British Standards Organisation (BSI)
BSI is the UK’s national standards body and a leader in global standards making. The CQI supports the development of British standards through our participation the relevant management systems standards committees via the CQI Standards Panel.
United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS)
UKAS is the is the national accreditation body for the United Kingdom, appointed by government to assess organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services. The CQI is a member of UKAS and supports development of UKAS policy and strategy through the UKAS Policy Advisory Forum and relevant technical committees
Engineering Council
The CQI is a Professional Affiliate of the Engineering Council, the UK regulatory body for the engineering profession. We support its Royal Charter mission to maintain the standards of professional competence in the engineering profession, running a number of special interest groups in engineering-based sectors. In return, the Engineering Council supports our mission by upholding quality as a key competence for the 220,000 engineers and technicians on its register.
Global Partners
European Organisation for Quality (EOQ)
The European Organisation for Quality is the European umbrella body focussed on developing quality management collaboratively with its European quality body members. The CQI is an Associated member of EOQ.
International Organisation for Standardisation
ISO is an international organization with a membership of 165 national standards bodies which develops voluntary, consensus-based, market relevant International Standards that support innovation and provide solutions to global challenges. The CQI supports international standards development through the CQI standard panel for relevant ISO management systems standards.
Saudi Quality Council
The Saudi Quality Council (SQC) plays a prominent role in supporting the progress of quality and the Koranic concept of ‘Itqan’ (the pursuit of excellence) in Saudi Arabia. Within the strategic partnership: the CQI and SQC share good practice, including SQC input to the CQI’s global professional standards; SQC promotes CQI and IRCA learning and development in Saudi Arabia; and the SQC promotes professional recognition and development through CQI membership and IRCA auditor certification within Saudi Arabia and the wider region.

Under its education division, DHI helps individuals learn about and apply quality management through the DHIQC Diploma and Certificate, encouraging practitioners to use this learning and evidence from related course projects to achieve professional recognition with the CQI as chartered quality professionals.
Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (Chartered IIA)
The Chartered IIA is the only professional association for internal financial auditors in the UK and Ireland. As we both work in the field of auditing, there is a mutual benefit for the Chartered IIA and the CQI to collaborate as it allows us to share views on the future of auditing and the principles of its professional standards.
Institute of Directors (IoD)
The CQI endorses the IoD’s Royal Charter mission to promote professionalism and set standards for British business. Through our presence on its governance advisory panel, we help them research and develop standards for good corporate governance. The IoD reciprocates by supporting the CQI’s mission to define and gain recognition for exceptional standards of operational governance.
Non-Executive Directors’ Association
The Non-Executive Directors’ Association (‘NEDA’) is the leading independent member association dedicated to Non-Executive Directors (‘NEDs’). NEDA promotes and supports the day to day needs of NEDs at all levels – aspiring, new and experienced. We provide our members and clients with a comprehensive range of education, training, mentoring, coaching and advisory services.
