Develop your skills with IRCA Mentoring

The CQI’s mentoring platform is now available to IRCA registered auditors, providing a great way to gain a wide variety of skills and knowledge.

Whether you want to guide or be guided by another professional, mentoring is a great way to connect with people outside your network.

Susan Walford, Head of Quality & Systems at Network Rail, who has become a mentor as part of the scheme, said: “This profession needs to support the development of people in all variations of industries. Mentoring is an excellent way to share knowledge and experience with up-and-coming professionals who don’t have access to quality expertise within their own organisations.”

Mentoring allows you to share and gain insights, give and receive advice, and use and develop your expertise.

Stanley O'Donnell, CQP MCQI, an IRCA Registered Auditor, commented: “When I became a mentor, my motivation was to help younger, less experienced individuals in the quality profession with a source they could turn to for explanations, answers or clarification on any quality-related subject in order to improve their performance. I applaud the CQI for providing this programme, which will serve to improve the perception of quality and those operating as quality professionals.”
