Psychology and Leadership for Quality Professionals
Psychology is a modern discipline, based in proven understanding of human thought and behaviour. It is relevant to many areas of Quality Management, including Process Design, Communication and Leadership.
Managers tell their subordinates what to do. Leaders inspire their followers, which requires a very different set of skills. Quality Professionals may not have the direct authority of a manager, and so must become skillful in in leadership, which implies a deeper understanding of human psychology.
This webinar highlights the scope of the many practical benefits of psychology for the Quality Professional, then focuses on one aspect of the CQI’s Profession Map: Leadership and the difficult role of being the ‘Quality Conscience’.
