Our Strategic Partners are a highly influential group of organisations that share similar ambitions and goals for quality in business as we do.
Their business model may be different from ours but they can help us deliver our strategy and in doing so enable us to help them with theirs.
We have a unique relationship with each of our Strategic Partners – no two affiliations are the same. We connect with organisations that are personally invested in the future of quality – those who have shown they are willing to go above and beyond to make things happen.
Our Strategic Partners include:
The CQI is a Professional Affiliate of the Engineering Council, the UK regulatory body for the engineering profession. We support its Royal Charter mission to maintain the standards of professional competence in the engineering profession, running a number of special interest groups in engineering-based sectors. In return, the Engineering Council supports our mission by upholding quality as a key competence for the 220,000 engineers and technicians on its register.
Institute of Directors (IoD)
The CQI endorses the IoD’s Royal Charter mission to promote professionalism and set standards for British business. Through our presence on its governance advisory panel, we help them research and develop standards for good corporate governance. The IoD reciprocates by supporting the CQI’s mission to define and gain recognition for exceptional standards of operational governance.
Shirley Parsons is the largest talent agency with a dedicated quality practice. The CQI helps the Shirley Parsons’ recruitment team by providing our Competency Framework as a framework for them to write job specifications for clients and to help with career development for candidates. By setting a high benchmark with these roles, we are improving professional standards for the quality profession as a whole.
Process Management International (PMI)
Process Management International (PMI) has been helping organisations improve their business performance for over 30 years through consultancy, advice and training. The organisation prides itself on a long-term commitment to quality and helps evaluate our ideas when we discuss our work and plans. Together, the CQI and PMI work as a team to share knowledge and expertise on governance, assurance and improvement.
Tomorrow’s Company is a not-for-profit think-tank that exists to inspire and enable business to be a force for good. Its goal is to encourage a business approach that benefits staff, shareholders and wider society through a focus on purpose, values, relationships and the long-term. Its partnership with the CQI helps us understand how governance is implemented on a day-to-day basis in organisations. We work together researching and lobbying to help influence the future of governance in business.
United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS)
UKAS is the national accreditation body for the United Kingdom to assess organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services – it checks the ‘checkers’ against internationally agreed standards. The CQI and UKAS work together to promote the value of accredited management system certification, believing this to be important and valuable. Being able to get in front of each other’s audiences to discuss this topic helps both of us reach a wider range of organisations.
A quality and operational excellence consultancy firm, Oakland Consulting helps organisations achieve the highest levels of performance, drawing on 30 years of pioneering applied research. Oakland shares the CQI’s dedication to quality management and how it can positively affect the world. It works with the CQI to bring expertise and the latest thinking to our organisation, contributing content such as thought leadership pieces.
Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (Chartered IIA)
The Chartered IIA is the only professional association for internal financial auditors in the UK and Ireland. As we both work in the field of auditing, there is a mutual benefit for the Chartered IIA and the CQI to collaborate as it allows us to share views on the future of auditing and the principles of its professional standards.
