Building skills and future careers

Apprenticeship schemes deliver value, opportunities and impact for individuals, organisations and industries.

They can help individuals kick-start a new career, advance in an existing job or fill skills gaps that support organisational growth and foster a quality culture.

By combining real work opportunities with training and study, apprentices can:

  • apply what they learn into practice
  • earn a salary and enjoy employee benefits
  • gain hands-on experience in the workplace

Apprenticeships empower individuals to develop rewarding careers and enable employers to build a future-ready workforce.

We are seeing increasing uptake in both quality practitioner and business improvement apprenticeships. To overcome the challenge of attracting the right skills into their business, our partner organisations are investing in apprenticeship schemes to build a much-needed talent pipeline for the quality profession.

Why pursue an apprenticeship in quality?

In my Quality Degree Apprenticeship, I have developed skills in problem-solving, attention to detail and effective communication, which will be invaluable in my future career. I have also been given the opportunity to work with the CQI’s industry groups to help promote nuclear quality as a career of choice.
