CQI Council: Roles and responsibilities

The CQI Council plays a vital role in advising and informing the CQI’s strategic plans and priorities. It forms part of the CQI governance and stakeholder management structure defined in the CQI Framework for Corporate Governance and Terms of Reference.

The CQI Council has authority in appointing or removing trustees, while also taking on an amplified advisory role for identifying threats or opportunities. Additionally, it proactively addresses strategic and operational matters as requested by the Board.

A message from Dave Smith, CQI Council Chair

“I have found volunteering for the CQI extremely rewarding. As well as being part of a community that is having a direct global impact on driving our profession forward, I have personally and professionally developed on a scale that would not have been possible without the several leading quality professions that I volunteer alongside. The CQI Council provides a valued voice in quality and industry that I am proud to be part of.”
