As part of our new training portfolio, today we are releasing our practitioner-level course specifications to Approved Training Partners, who will be delivering the courses. Practitioner courses will provide delegates with a full understanding of quality topics at management level and show them how to apply this knowledge. Practitioner courses are designed specifically for individuals who are currently practising in quality and are aspiring to middle management.

Today the CQI and IRCA are launching a brand new training portfolio which will provide employers and quality professionals with the skills they need to excel.

Following consultations with students, employers and the education and training sector, the institute has developed an extensive portfolio, called 'CQI and IRCA Certified Training'. The new courses are designed to better reflect the integrated nature of the modern quality and auditing professions.

Over the last 30 years the two brands have become world leaders in developing the quality and auditing profession, providing the highest standards of training to more than one million professionals globally.

Today, the CQI has released the foundation-level course specifications to Approved Training Partners, who will be delivering the courses. These are aimed at individuals who are new to quality, or work in different professions. Over the coming months the CQI will also be releasing Practitioner and Professional courses.

Acting CEO Vincent Desmond explains the benefits of this new portfolio:

Our new model brings together the quality management courses offered by the CQI and the auditor courses offered by IRCA to give you the opportunity to learn relevant, up-to-date knowledge and skills that will help you to increase your own value, and that of quality, in the workplace.

All CQI and IRCA Certified Training is mapped against the CQI Competency Framework. This means learning is aligned with the skill and knowledge required by the profession and called on by industry.

The CQI Competency Framework, released in 2014, provides a foundation for progressing this agenda by establishing a clear value proposition for employers. I am delighted quality professionals and organisations alike have embraced this so positively.
