The CQI welcomes the Singapore Quality Institute
On Friday 28 April, the CQI hosted Ghengeen Tan and Chan Kee Ann, Chair and Vice Chair of the Singapore Quality Institute (SQI).
Vince Desmond, our Acting CEO and Business Development Manager, Adam Risbridger were delighted to welcome our long-standing partners.
The SQI was formed in 1971 to promote and advance excellence in the field of quality in Singapore. Having undergone some structural changes in leadership, a new strategy has been implemented within their organisation leading to more opportunities for collaboration with their international partners. A primary objective for this meeting was to discuss how the SQI and the CQI can collaborate to deliver on our shared goals in driving the quality agenda forward worldwide.
This is the first time the SQI have visited the CQI in London and having worked closely with them, Adam Risbridger commented:
Meeting the new team at the SQI and learning more about their strategic intent and direction moving forward was an incredibly enjoyable and worthwhile experience. The organisation appears to be going through a period of change and the CQI look forward to helping our partners in Singapore and working much more closely with them into the future.
The SQI are a former IRCA Training Organisation and in 2016 they moved to the new Approved Training Partner (ATP) model. Alongside their current IRCA auditing courses they are now in the process of putting together their quality syllabus. According to Risbridger:
“We heard first-hand how the SQI intend to develop and deliver some of the new Quality course syllabus. The entire L&D team here at the CQI look forward to receiving these in due course and will be on hand to help them through the development stage as much as possible.”
The SQI will join a host of other ATPs who are currently delivering the new quality syllabus.
