Could you lead the CQI into the future? 

An exciting opportunity to join the CQI’s Board of Trustees. 

We are looking for CQI members and fellows to join our Board of Trustees. You will join the board at an exciting time as we navigate the profession and the CQI through a rapidly changing world. 

Can you lead the CQI?  

As the CQI’s primary governance body, the Board of Trustees set the strategy and direction for the organisation, and monitor its implementation and progress.  

Requirements 

We are looking for individuals who: 

  • Are experienced in strategic development and have business acumen 
  • Actively contribute to the CQI and want to develop their commitment by becoming a trustee on the board 
  • Want to advance the practice of quality management in all sectors for the benefit of society 
  • Aim to challenge the status quo and enhance the strategic direction. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in the following: training, digital, marketing, communications, manufacturing, and energy/renewables
What to expect 

Trustees are involved in a range of activities, which involve committing to up to 12 days a year. These include: 

  • Attending four board meetings a year (including one ‘away day’).  All meetings are currently hybrid, except for the ‘away day’ and accompanying board meeting
  • Preparing for meetings by reading the relevant papers
  • Responding to email correspondence between meetings 
  • Taking part in other governance activities

This is a voluntary role but we will reimburse reasonable travel expenses within the UK. 

Key dates: 
  • 11 November 2022 – Applications open 
  • 3 January 2023 – Applications close 
  • 17-18 January 2023 – Interviews remotely (via Microsoft Teams)
