Watch out for the CQI’s new ISO 9004:2018 guide

The guide – to be released in March – offers detailed insights into ISO 9004:2018, to help users achieve the maximum value from the standard.

It addresses the content of the guidance document alongside the assessment criteria, to highlight how each element can be applied, from base level to best practice.

Written in plain English, the guide addresses each clause of ISO 9004:2018, with:

1. Commentary on the content
2. An overview of the assessment criteria and a closer look at what is covered
3. Reflections on how leaders and business improvers in the organisation can address the requirements and improve their results, including practical tips
4. Directions for sustained success, along with opportunities to check that the organisation is making progress on its journey.

ISO 9004:2018 ‘Quality management ­– Quality of an organisation – Guidance to achieve sustained success’ is a guidance document for organisations that wish to enhance their ability to achieve sustained success.

Consistent with the quality management principles found in ISO 9000:2015 ‘Quality management systems – Fundamentals and vocabulary’, the standard provides a self-assessment tool for organisations to assess against.

It is designed to be applicable to any organisation, regardless of size, sector or location.
